Response Question: Two Masters (69-103)
In this section of the book, Douglass tells us about two masters he has at different points -- Mr. Covey and Mr. Freeman. Look back at his descriptions of the two men. How do they compare or contrast? Give one example of Douglass' experiences with each master.

I think the wotld thing about him having to master was that one of his masters was good an the other one was bad. Why i say this is b/c his experience with colonel lyold wasn't good but when he went an had a lady master she taught him how to read an write an i think that was great.
Douglass described his old master(Mr. Covey) and his new master(Mr. Freeland) as two very different slave owners, although Mr. Covey or Mr. Freeland were not very rich. Mr. Covey was stern,a "well-trained negrobreaker, and slave driver". On the other hand the new master was very much educated. When Douglass was with Mr. Covey he was treated as if he had no soul, he was slaving one day and grab defeat of sickness and the master show no care and abused him for not returning to work. While with his new master he had enough to eat and enough time to eat it.
Mr. Convey and Mr. Freeman were similar in one way and different in the other. Both of the masters were really not that rich but still owed slaves. Mr Convey treated Douglass very poorly and didn't abused him a lot. Mr. Freeman was the nicer slave owner and made sure Douglass had enough food to eat. I think that if you don't the slaves enough it is harder for them to work but if you give them eoght food it would make them a better worker.
The two men contrast because Mr. Covey is a very harsh slave owner were as Mr. Freeman is more of a lose with his rules and feeds the more and only works them from sunset to sundown. When hes was with Mr.Coveyhe got beat more, however when he was with Mr. freeman he never got beat.
Well, both masters were not rich, although they owned slaves. Frederick Douglass' old master, John Convey, was the one who treated him badly by abusing him and not feeding him enough. He was a harsh, cold-hearted slaveholder. In contrast, Douglass' new owner, Mr. Freeman was the nice one. He did not abuse Douglass and made sure he had enough to eat.
In comparison both masters weren't rich in fact they were considered poor, but in contrast mr. convey was looked upon as evil and some even had called him a snake or satan, but on the other hand mr. freeman was looked upon as more of a better slave owner then mr. convey. Douglass had a very bad experience with Mr. Convey when he had to fight him, but with Mr. Freeman Douglass really didn't have no problems, Mr. Freeman wasn't so hard on the rules and he gave Douglass more respect then Mr. Convey.
I believe that Mr. Freeman was more fair than that of Mr. Covey. Mr. Covey was very rash and beat Douglass for unsensable things. Also Mr. Covey treat him like he was a piece of property or like he was made equal. But Mr. Freeman, being the educated mad that he is, acknowledged Douglass as a person. Also Mr. Freeman treated the needs of Douglass better that Mr. Covey.
I believe that Mr. Freeman was more fair than that of Mr. Covey. Mr. Covey was very strict and he also beat Douglass for being as ackward as he was working in the field. Also Mr. Covey beat him for unsensable reasons. But, Mr. Freeman, being the well educated man that he is, treat Douglass like he was human. He was more attentive to Douglass' needs.
its malik im late but here it go. I think that Mr. Freeman was more fair than Mr. Covey. Mr. Covey was very strict and he also beat Douglass for being as ackward he was working in the field. Mr. Covey beat him for no reasons. But, Mr. Freeman, being a educated man. treat Douglass like he was human. He give Dougless what he need.
